13U Regional Coaches: 

Ryan Crosby (formerly Mills)

Ryan has been coaching with PEVBC since it was founded. She has coached all age groups from Youth - 18U. She Played DS/libero at Shepherd University. Ryan coached freshman at Hedgesville High (1 yr), JV and Varsity at Shepherdstown Middle (1 yr),  Varsity at Jefferson High (4 yrs). She has Impact coaching certification and USAW Olympic Weightlifting coaching certification.  Ryan also coaches and competes in USAW Olympic Weightlifting. She has a 7 year old son and one on the way!

Kelsey Andersen

Kelsey has been coaching with Potomac Elite for three years. She has coached age groups 13U and 16U in the past. As a coach, she was the assistant for the 16s & head coach for 13s. Played volleyball at Loudoun county high school and continued her volleyball career at Shepherd University for three years until an injury ended her career this year. She was the starting libero for all three years. Kelsey is Impact certified and in her free time loves to travel and adventure to new places.

14U Regional Head Coach: Shelby Wallace  

Shelby has been coaching with PEVBC for 3 years now. She has coached our 14U and youth teams in the past. She has a strong coaching and playing background,she played at Boonsboro/Shepherd University and has coached at PEVBC/Boonsboro as a High School Assistant. Her certifications include Impact and various NFHS courses & MDSE Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries class. When she is not coaching, she is teaching 5th grade!

Asst. Coach:  Peyton Lindblad

Peyton has been coaching with PEVBC for 1 year. She has been coaching volleyball for 2 years and playing for 6 years, currently as a member of the Shepherd University women's team. She is Impact certified and in her free time loves to travel.

15U open Head coach Faisal Hallaj:

 Coach Hallaj has coached for Potomac Elite for the past six years.  He has been the Head or Assistant Coach for every age level, most recently coaching the 17U Travel team.  Coach Hallaj is currently in his sixth season as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV (NCAA Division II, Mountain East Conference).   He is a certified USA Volleyball CAP Level 2 coach, as well as a Gold Medal Squared Level 2 coach.  In addition, he is USAV IMPACT certified, SafeSport certified, and an active member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association, Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association.

 Asst. Coaches: Sami Scroggins and Haley Shelton

 

Sami has coached with PEVBC for three years now. She has coached the 17U team as a head coach and assistance coach as well as our 15U team as a head coach. She has also coached club volleyball in Illinois at the 13U & 14U ages. She has been playing volleyball for 10 years. Played at Naperville North High School with 2 JV and 2 Varsity letters, 2 years of College at KIshwaukee College in 2013 was named All American and MVP All Conference, 2 years of College at Shepherd University. In 2014 she made honorable mention MEC conference team as a Libero and in 2015 was named 1st team MEC all Conference as an OH. She is Impact & CPR certified and is originally from Chicago, IL.

Haley is a new coach to the Potomac Elite family but has played for the club the last three seasons.  She is a  senior at Musselman High School and a starter for her high school volleyball team; which won the WV State Championships in 2016 and 2014.  She is excited to share her passion and excitement for volleyball with younger players.

16U Travel head coach Alyssa Eshleman  

Alyssa ha been at Potomac Elite since it's inception (7+ years). She has coached age at the 15U-18U age groups.  Alyssa was recruited D1 for both tennis and volleyball, but after shoulder surgery during her freshman year, she spent 2 years  at Hood College in Frederick, MD playing volleyball. She has her Impact certification and is also CPR certified. Fun Fact, she has played libero, setter, OH, and RS at the collegiate level and she also has her pilot's license.

Asst. Coach:  Rebecca Pryor

Rebecca is a new coach to the Potomac Elite family and will be assisting on the 16U Blue team this season..  She is a recent graduate of Shippensburg University, with a degree in Communications/Journalism.  She was also a member of the Shippensburg Raiders Volleyball and Track & Field teams; both of which were 2015 Conference Champions.  In addition to playing volleyball, she was also involved as a camp counselor for the Raiders volleyball summer camps.  A fun fact is that she was a radio show host for station 88.7FM WYSC while attending Shippensburg where she broadcasted daily news, weather, sports, and infectious banter for over two years.

17U Travel head coach Lance Astorino  

This will be the 2nd year Lance has coached with Potomac Elite.  Last year he coached  the 18U travel team. He joins PEVBC with over 9 years coaching experience including time spent at James Wood MS, Apple Valley 16, 17, and 18s and now Potomac Elite. He is Impact and Safe Sport certified. Lance loves being able to give hisplayers the opportunity to challenge and push themselves beyond what they thought possible to become a smarter, faster, stronger, better player and person.

Asst. Coaches:  Imani Major and Seone Goode

Imani has been coaching with PEVBC for two years. Last year she assisted the 18U team. She was an OH for Millbrook High School, Winchester Star Player of the Year 2015/16, all Conference 21A West Player of the Year 2015/16 & Second team All State. Imani is about to start sophomore campaign at Shepherd University as Libero. She has her Impact certification and is majoring in Biology.

Seone has coached with PEVBC for 1 year. Last year she assisted the 15U team. She has been playing volleyball since her freshman year of high school. She is a photography and chemistry double major at Shepherd University where she is a member of the women's volleyball team.
